The LINCS Center’s food pantry is the result of a need within the Wilson Area Community. Working with Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley, the LINCS established a food pantry at 2400 Firmstone Street that services over 100 families each month. The food pantry provides families with food insecurities a variety of food options.

The Full Choice Pantry is designed to reduce food insecurity and increase food knowledge by providing high quality, nutrient dense food to low-income, at-risk adults, children, and seniors. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps Pennsylvanians buy food. People in eligible low-income households can obtain more nutritious diets with SNAP increasing their food purchasing power at grocery stores and supermarkets. Those who are eligible receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) ACCESS Card to make food purchases.

LINCS Family Center is helping to connect local families to needed services. Through a partnership with CONCERN for Kids, a social worker evaluates the needs of area residents and suggests resources to meet those needs.
Resource contacts such as emergency rental assistance, affordable housing, SNAP food assistance, access to healthcare, utility assistance, shelter, food bank referrals, counseling services, and crisis intervention were provided. The ParentChild + Program is a free home visitation program for children ages 18 months to 3 years old who live in the Easton Area School District. Trained staff visit children and parents in their home two times a week for 30 minutes, bringing educational toys, books, crafts, and games that are gifts to the family. They sit with the child and parent and engage in a fun educational experience. Program runs September to May. Home visits take place M-F with parents’ availability.
