The LINCS Center’s food pantry is the result of a need within the Wilson Area Community. Working with Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley, the LINCS established a food pantry at 2400 Firmstone Street that services over 100 families each month. The food pantry provides families with food insecurities a variety of food options.

The LINCS Food Pantry is open on Mondays from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM for curbside pickup. Call for additional pantry hours.

The Full Choice Pantry is designed to reduce food insecurity and increase food knowledge by providing high quality, nutrient dense food to low-income, at-risk adults, children, and seniors. We incorporate learning opportunities for our clients, including how to prepare the food they receive, how to integrate fresh fruit and vegetables into their diet, and how to accommodate allergies, diet restrictions, and more.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps Pennsylvanians buy food. People in eligible low-income households can obtain more nutritious diets with SNAP increasing their food purchasing power at grocery stores and supermarkets. Those who are eligible receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) ACCESS Card to make food purchases.

Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, Inc. provides services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Services include a 24-hour hotline, safe house, counseling, support groups, court advocacy, community outreach, prevention education, and medical advocacy. Turning Point serves both Northampton County and Lehigh County.

PREGNANCY HELP

The Learning Center provides high quality, affordable curricula for children 6 weeks to 12 years old.  They are a NAEYC accredited program that has earned the Keystone Star 4 level.  They encourage and develop cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth for each individual child while responding to the needs of families. The ParentChild + Program is a free home visitation program for children ages 18 months to 3 years old who live in the Easton Area School District.  Trained staff visit children and parents in their home two times a week for 30 minutes, bringing educational toys, books, crafts, and games that are gifts to the family.  They sit with the child and parent and engage in a fun educational experience.  Program runs September to May.  Home visits take place M-F with parents’ availability.

MEDICAL RESOURCES

Emergency assistance for Northampton County residents. Helps with emergency shelter, prescriptions, home heating oil, baby needs, children’s furniture and clothing, eye exams/glasses. Requires intake interview. Open 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Bus passes available for designated appointments. All services are free.

Eye Exams and Glasses: Individuals and families without vision insurance or the ability to obtain eye exams may qualify for one exam and one pair of glasses.
